At S.G. Finch Contracting, our roots in the construction industry run deep. It all began in 1984, when I started working summers at The Adams-Bilt Company at the age of sixteen. My early responsibilities included everything from clearing lots and laying out foundation footings, to pouring concrete, waterproofing, grading, and operating machinery. I was the “shovel man,” learning every aspect of the job firsthand—from reading blueprints to running dozers, backhoes, and compactors. That hands-on experience gave me the solid foundation and strong work ethic that continues to drive our company today. In 1989, my father and I purchased equipment from The Adams-Bilt Company and launched Tri-Land Services, Inc.
